The phrase, “think like a boss”, is often used to motivate others but what exactly is a boss?
By definition, a boss is a person in charge of an organization or worker. However, that doesn’t encompass the full meaning of a boss, as a boss plays many roles such as mediator, gatekeeper, supervisor, adviser, and motivator. All that to do their job: guide employees towards their goals— and more.
Bosses’ influences run deeper than simply job performance. In addition to being vital to one’s career success, bosses also prepare those that they manage for success beyond their respective field.
At The Zone, we believe that a BOSS is Built Of Something Special.
Similar to coaches- who are bosses in their own rights, as they manage teams and guide their players towards both individual and team goals. By developing personal relationships with those that they manage, bosses and coaches alike cement a long-lasting impression on those under them as they communicate clear vision and foster team and individual development.
You can’t really put a boss in a defined box. Nor, do we believe that you should, as that can limit one’s potential.
Our brand narrative focuses on valuing one’s power, diversity, and empowering others to reach and exceed their goals by realizing that they’re more than an athlete. Furthermore, we recognize that although becoming a boss is no easy feat, it certainly is achievable. Which is why through skill development; sports performance and personal skills enhancement; workshops; as well as partnerships with established influencers in the sports field such as sports companies and influencers that match what we stand for, The Zone seeks to provide a full-service experience for the youth, equipping them with the tools necessary to become bosses.
